my philosophy
In praise of the imperfect
In a world that seeks perfection, I believe in a different kind of beauty. I see it in the wabi-sabi—the quiet appreciation of things that are perfectly imperfect. every piece I create carries a story, from the marks of my hands to the subtle distortions from the firing process.
For me, a finger print isn’t a mistake; it’s a signature. A gentle wobble isn’t a flaw, it’s a reminder that it was made, by hand, with intention. This is more to me than just pottery; it’s a celebration of the raw, authentic and beautiful soul that can only be found in things that are truly, uniquely, and imperfectly made.
